We do not track which sites you skin, how often you toggle styles, or what domains you visit. Your browser console is yours alone.
The extension requires zero external server connections to inject CSS. Styles are packaged locally and applied instantly on load.
Technical architecture
The extension utilizes Chrome's local storage API to map custom CSS strings to specific domain names. When you toggle a style like 'Frutiger Aero' on a domain, a simple key-value pair is written. Clearing your browser cookies or extension data purges these overrides instantly. No background processes run when the popup is closed.
CSS BOSS injects styles strictly via client-side stylesheets. It does not read, modify, or exfiltrate document content, input fields, or session tokens. Because the tool operates entirely offline, there are no remote tracking pixels, third-party telemetry scripts, or external API dependencies to compromise your browsing session.
